Investment Analyst Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Investment Analyst.

  • About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing various investment products, including Mutual Funds (MFs), Portfolio Management Services (PMS), and Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Analysis: Track, analyze, and evaluate the performance of MFs, PMS, and AIF schemes across different asset classes, strategies, and risk profiles.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Conduct advanced quantitative analysis using techniques such as alpha, beta, Sharpe ratio, information ratio, drawdowns, rolling returns, capture ratios, and consistency metrics.
  • Qualitative Assessment: Perform thorough qualitative assessment of fund houses, investment philosophy, fund managers, and risk management practices.
  • Due Diligence & Manager Evaluation: Conduct due diligence meetings with fund managers, CIOs, and investment teams, assess their track record, tenure, investment style, and decision-making process.
  • Industry Tracking: Stay updated on SEBI regulations, tax rules, and industry developments impacting MFs, PMS, and AIFs, track flows, AUM trends, and innovation in product structures.
  • Research Reports & Client Support: Prepare in-depth research reports, fund notes, presentations, and model portfolios for internal teams and clients.
  • Client Interaction: Assist sales/advisory teams with fund data, market outlook, and client-facing analysis, contribute to whitepapers, newsletters, and thought-leadership content.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, asset classes, portfolio management, and risk analytics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, Bloomberg/Refinitiv/Morningstar/ValueResearch/ACE MF or similar tools.
  • Quantitative Techniques: Hands-on experience with regression, risk-return metrics, factor attribution.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Finance/Economics/Statistics/Commerce.
  • Certifications: Relevant professional certifications such as CFA, CA, MBA (Finance), FRM, CIPM, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4–6 years of experience in mutual fund research, PMS analysis, buy-side/sell-side research, or wealth management is preferred.
