We are seeking an accomplished Commerce Developer to join our team. This is a key role for an individual with extensive knowledge of developing and maintaining commerce applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve commerce applications utilizing IBM WebSphere Commerce technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and implement scalable solutions.
  • Apply Java programming skills and object-oriented design principles in the development process.
  • Contribute to application architecture discussions, ensuring alignment with best industry practices.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshoot performance and scalability issues.
  • Integrate and optimize database interactions, preferably with DB2.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and participate in knowledge sharing initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • IBM WebSphere Commerce (WCS)
  • Core Java, JSP, Servlets
  • Understanding of application architecture and design patterns
  • Familiarity with eCommerce business processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DB2 as the underlying OLTP database
  • Exposure to REST/SOAP services
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and load testing in high-traffic environments
