Purpose of the Job

Overseeing Day-to-Day Operations in a Data Center Setting.

The role entails ensuring uptime and meeting customer requirements. It also involves guaranteeing reliability and efficiency in data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the shift team and oversee the timely execution of planned and unplanned activities with effective communication.
  • To track and close complaints within service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • To manage incidents and perform root cause analysis with timely closure and periodic review of the root cause analysis.
  • Asset management, including warranty, annual maintenance contracts, lifecycle, and capacity management.
  • Five-percentage point per annum (5 PPM) tracking and completion with turnaround time (TAT), as well as ensuring 100% availability of equipment.
  • Vendor management, including response and action times (RAT and TAT) on complaints, and ensuring uptime of redundant equipment.

Expected Competencies:

  • A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven relevant work experience in the data center industry.
  • A solid technical background, understanding, and hands-on experience in data center infrastructure.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 7+ years of progressive experience in data center and/or critical facilities.
