Job Title: Guest Services Manager

Job Description

The Guest Services Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for hotel guests. This involves processing all guest check-ins, verifying their identity and form of payment, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. Additionally, the Guest Services Manager sets up accurate accounts for each guest according to their requirements and enters Marriott Rewards information.

The role also involves ensuring rates match market codes, documenting exceptions, securing payment prior to issuing room keys, and verifying/adjusting billing. Furthermore, the Guest Services Manager compiles and reviews daily reports/logs/contingency lists, completes cashier and closing reports, and supplies guests with directions and property information.

The Guest Services Manager accommodates guest requests, contacts appropriate staff if necessary, and follows up to ensure requests have been met. The role also involves processing all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges, balancing and dropping receipts, counting and securing bank at beginning and end of shift, obtaining manual authorizations, and following all Accounting procedures.

The Guest Services Manager notifies Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft and assists management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees. They serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, at least 1 year of related work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. A license or certification is not required.
