Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a diligent Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the highest standards for our HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reviewing technical drawings, conducting on-site inspections, and ensuring strict adherence to industry codes and quality procedures. This role is crucial for maintaining project integrity from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Document Review: Review and interpret project documentation, including HVAC project drawings, technical specifications, and quality plans.
  • On-Site Inspections: Conduct inspections of HVAC equipment installations, focusing on components like ducts, chillers, AHUs, VRF/VRV units, and piping systems.
  • Quality Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC procedures, industry codes such as ASHRAE and SMACNA, and relevant standards.
  • Material Inspection: Perform material inspections, equipment checks, and monitor the calibration of HVAC tools and instruments.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, test certificates, non-conformity reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are effectively implemented.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Witness testing and commissioning activities, including air balancing, water balancing, and pressure testing.
  • Documentation Support: Assist in preparing method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality reports.
  • Audit and Quality Reviews: Conduct audits and participate in internal and external quality review meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continual improvement by identifying quality risks and recommending preventive measures.
