Senior Fragrance Application Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fragrance Application Technologist to join our organization. This key role involves utilizing technical expertise in formulation and scale-up trials of fine fragrance, personal care, home care, and air care products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality product bases for fragrances applications and ensure optimum performance of fragrances in those bases.
  • Analyse client's product formulation and communicate its characteristics to the fragrance development team.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to provide full technical support for product formulations and scale-up trials.
  • Explore and develop innovative fragrance delivery systems for product demonstrations.
  • Oversee the application of fragrances in consumer products, ensuring they meet desired sensory and performance attributes.

Team Management and Communication:

Lead the Fragrance Application Laboratory team by setting priorities and ensuring project/customer application samples are dispatched efficiently.

Coach, train, and motivate Lab technicians to deliver samples at quality standards.

Innovation and Trend Analysis:

Stay up-to-date with market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging fragrance technologies to drive innovation in fragrance applications.

Recommend and implement new formats, techniques, and technologies for fragrance evaluation and application in consumer products.

Maintaining Organizational Effectiveness:

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment in accordance with health and safety policies.

Manage projects with the ability to lead large development projects and maintain good technical partnerships with customers and suppliers.

Working Relationships:

I. Internal: Fragrance R&D Team, Sales Team, and other relevant departments.

II. External: Customers, Vendors, and other external partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as chemistry, biology or physics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in fragrance application technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
