Job Title: Senior Taxation Analyst

Function: Taxation

Job Purpose:

The role of the Senior Taxation Analyst at IDFC FIRST Bank involves preparing financial and accounting tasks, such as budgets and financial reports, offering advice on fiscal procedures, managing accounting records, handling payments, and preparing payroll documents. The role holder is expected to prepare reports that outline the bank's financial position regarding income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, analyse, and interpret statistical and accounting information to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget.
  2. Provide financial assistance to clients in terms of loss or death.
  3. Implement schedules for investment transactions and analyse efficiency of same.
  4. Conduct analyses on cost allocation and unit-wise profitability reporting to enable data-driven business decisions.
  5. Measure financial ratios such as solvency, profitability, growth, determine IDFC FIRST Bank's financial position and propose enhancement recommendations.
  6. Coordinate with clients to analyse requirements and design customized financial strategies.
  7. Manage all invoices and prepare monthly and weekly reports.
  8. Ensure all operational documentation is maintained and is best-in-class.
  9. Ensure financial and accounting reports are prepared in accordance with bank/regulatory rules and regulations.
  10. Assist in reconciliation of all bank statements.
  11. Maintain accurate financial data and reports for submission to senior management.
  12. Maintain effective relationships with customers and ensure fulfilment of requirements.
  13. Address financial issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
  14. Monitor effective reconciliation of all data and sales reports.
  15. Participate in regular audits and recommend corrective financial action plans.
  16. Evaluate all travel expense reimbursements submitted by employees.
  17. Analytical review of the Financials for decision-making.
  18. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the team.
  19. Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  20. Keep abreast with global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.
  21. Create an environment that promotes collaborative learning and collective ownership of responsibilities.

Education Qualification:

Graduation: Any Graduate

Post-graduation: MBA / PGDM

Experience: 5 to 10 Years of experience in Taxation
