Security Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled automation professional with expertise in security operations and SOAR platforms to design, develop, and maintain automated workflows that streamline security operations and enhance incident response efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation playbooks within SOAR platforms (Palo Alto XSIAM, QRadar SOAR, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks such as phishing response, malware triage, account lockouts, and threat containment.
  • Integrate multiple security tools with SOAR for automated incident handling, including SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, Email Security, Cloud Security, Threat Intel, and more.
  • Collaborate with SOC teams to automate manual workflows and translate them into automated playbooks, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with security best practices.
  • Create and maintain custom scripts to extend SOAR functionalities and integrate unsupported tools, leveraging scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript.
  • Work closely with L1/L2 analysts to understand manual workflows and translate them into automated playbooks, ensuring efficient and effective automation.
  • Build and optimize detection logic, correlation rules, and incident enrichment pipelines across SIEM/SOAR platforms, providing real-time insights and improving incident response times.
  • Maintain and optimize integrations with security platforms such as Proofpoint, Okta, SentinelOne, AWS Security Hub, Chronicle, and more, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow execution.
  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and training on automation workflows to SOC teams, empowering them to effectively utilize and maintain the automated systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in Security Operations, Automation, or SOAR Engineering, with hands-on expertise in SOAR platforms and SIEM solutions.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python (mandatory), PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript, with proven ability to design and deploy custom integrations and APIs for automation workflows.
  • Experience working with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS security integrations, with understanding of security domains such as phishing defense, malware analysis, threat intel, IAM, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with incident response processes and SOC operations, with strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Palo Alto XSIAM or QRadar SOAR certification(s), with exposure to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD automation pipelines.
  • Experience in automating playbooks for phishing, malware, insider threat, and account takeover scenarios, with knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with API development, REST, and JSON workflows, with ability to design and deploy custom integrations and APIs for automation workflows.
