Visionary Automotive Software Architect

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced automotive software architect to lead the development of our software architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the software framework for automotive systems, considering performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.

• Define Software Framework: Define and architect the software framework for automotive systems, taking into account performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with hardware design and industry standards.
• Software Component Development: Lead the design and development of software components and modules for automotive platforms.
• Industry Standards Compliance: Implement software solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize software performance for real-time constraints and resource efficiency.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct performance analysis and propose enhancements to meet industry standards.
• Intellectual Property Support: Support intellectual property activities and generate invention disclosure memos to facilitate patent applications.
• Design Reviews: Contribute to design reviews across algorithm teams.
• Research and Development: Consider next-generation algorithms and new business opportunities.
• Embedded DSP Platforms: Develop algorithms for implementation on embedded DSP platforms.
• Industry Representation: Represent the company at various industry working groups and conferences.
• Training Sessions: Support the design and implementation of in-company training sessions in your area of expertise.
• University Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with university counterparts.
• Competency Improvement: Strive to improve competencies in the field of automotive vision-based ADAS, computer vision, and C++.
• Process Improvements: Identify inefficiencies and suggest/implement improvements within current processes used in algorithm and development.
• State-of-the-Art Research: Perform state-of-the-art research into deep learning and computer vision approaches and methodologies.
• High-Level Architecture: Create initial high-level module and sub-module architecture at project kick-off and pre-dev projects.
• CV/DL Functions: Provide expertise to algorithm and embedded leads in the design of all CV/DL functions.
• Computer Vision and Image Processing: Research, develop, benchmark, test, and document state-of-the-art computer vision and image processing algorithms for autonomous driving applications within your assigned project team.
• New Vision Technology: Perform research into new vision technology, ideas, and approaches.
• Safety and Security Standards: Ensure the software architecture meets safety and security standards relevant to automotive systems.
• Risk Assessments: Collaborate with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical software components.

Secure Product Robustness:

• Enforce Standards: Enforce standards engineering discipline solutions.
• Design Review Support: Support Engineering Discipline Design Review.
• Discipline Linkage: Manage the link with other Engineering disciplines/calling for hierarchical support if needed.
• Know-how Capitalization: Capitalization of the know-how (standardization, specifications, technical reports, processes, and guidelines).

Engineering Discipline Requirement Management:

• Requirement Inputs: Provides inputs and requirements to the Engineering discipline for development.
• Customer Interface: Interface with customer for Engineering discipline architecture content.
• Function Refinement: Contribute to refine functions into the right sub-systems (system - mechanical - software - hardware ...).

System Architect Distribution:

• Function Distribution: Translate system requirements in Engineering disciplines requirements.
• Sub-system Definition: In collaboration with different competences (Engineering disciplines) define functions into the right sub-systems (software).
• Inter-operability: Ensure inter-operability of all sub-systems.

Required Skills:

— Strong C, C++ programming skills or strong rapid prototyping skills in Enterprise Architect for Modeling, Experience in Doors.

— Good understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and approaches.

— Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.

— High level of innovation and motivation.

— Excellent research experience.

— Experience with automotive software standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet.

Experience in QNX/Safertos ,freeRTOS.
