The role of a data availability specialist plays a crucial part in ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. This position supports the organization by designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise storage and backup solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage IBM FlashSystem 7300 (FS7300) and IBM SVC environments to meet business needs.
  • Optimize NetApp C Series storage arrays for performance and capacity.
  • Implement and maintain data replication strategies using IBM replication technologies and NetApp to ensure high levels of recoverability.
  • Design, implement, and manage data protection solutions using Veritas NetBackup 11.
  • Administer and troubleshoot NetBackup FlexScale and NetBackup Flex Appliances to ensure seamless operation.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Brocade SAN switches to identify and resolve any technical issues.

This is an advanced technical role requiring hands-on experience with various storage solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IBM Storage, NetApp Storage, and Veritas NetBackup 11 as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this position, along with the ability to collaborate and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support business growth.
