Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pressure vessel design, ASME codes, and fabrication detailing.

  • Design and analyze pressure vessels, reactors, storage tanks, and fabricated skids as per ASME Section VIII Div 1, ASME-BPE, and other global codes.
  • Perform mechanical strength calculations, including shell and head thickness, nozzle reinforcement, wind/seismic load, support design, and weld sizing.
  • Execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress analysis and load verification using tools like ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and complete fabrication drawings, welding details, nozzle orientation drawings, section views, and isometric piping drawings.
  • Prepare comprehensive design dossiers, BOMs, and as-built drawings for submission and compliance.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, shop inspections, and client FATs.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for mechanical and fabrication design.
  • Advanced understanding of ASME Section VIII, ASME-BPE, TEMA, and international fabrication standards.
  • Hands-on experience in FEA-based stress analysis and structural optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-8 years of experience in pressure vessel and process equipment design.
