Job Role:
LC-MS Data ExpertWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LC-MS data expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry, with expertise in interpreting LC-MS/MS and chromatographic data.
- This role involves analyzing and interpreting LC-MS data for qualitative and semi-quantitative chemical characterization studies, evaluating mass spectral data using a weight-of-evidence approach, and communicating findings to technical analysts, chemists, and project managers.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g. ISO 10993, ISO 17025, GLP).
- They will also contribute to method development and optimization by providing feedback on spectral data trends and anomalies, and support improvement of SOPs, templates, and data analysis workflows.
Requirements:
- Master's or PhD degree in Chemistry or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or BS/B.Sc in Chemistry with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data documentation and review.
- Experience working in a regulated environment is essential.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in organic chemistry, including functional group recognition and mass fragmentation behavior.
- Experience with extractables & leachables, particularly in a medical device or pharmaceutical context.
- Familiarity with instrumental analysis workflows and solution preparation.
