Job Title: Pharmacology Faculty Position

The pharmacology faculty position is a key role in the department of Pharmacology. As an instructional team member, you will be responsible for delivering the syllabus of Pharmacology to MBBS students at Kyrgyzstan National University.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach topics as per the given syllabus, demonstrate innovation and excellence in curriculum and co-curricular planning, foster an atmosphere of active intellectual and creative engagement in student achievement, and contribute to the advancement and overall welfare of the Medical College.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and execute the teaching timetable developed in the subject.
  2. Conduct tutorials and demonstrations.
  3. Set up and operate Practical lab as per the guidelines.
  4. Prepare requirements for practical sessions.
  5. Be responsible for the stores and laboratories under his/her charge.
  6. Maintain and book keep attendance record as per the standard guidelines.
  7. Do any other duties assigned by the Head or Dean of the College.
  8. Conduct examinations in the form of formative and continuous assessment.
  9. Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
  10. Actively engage students in critical thinking, meta-cognitive processes, and advancement of critical communication skills.
  11. Model and cultivate open-minded inquiry, an appreciation for diverse perspectives, and creative problem-solving.
  12. Serve on committees and participate in department meetings with essential documentation of all such activities.
  13. Maintain academic discipline and pedagogy by actively participating and by engaging in other professional development opportunities.
  14. Uphold and contribute to the achievement of the university strategic plan.
  15. Handle basic microsoft application skills with easy adaptability to digital teaching methods.
