Job Opportunity: Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team as a Data Engineering Specialist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in big data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines.

This role requires a technical leader with the ability to design and implement scalable data architectures, work effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

The successful candidate will have experience in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark or Hive query language (HQL), developing streaming data pipelines using Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink on Kafka & Delta Lake, collaborating with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption, providing an effective solution design to meet business needs, and ensuring regular communication with key stakeholders.

  • Design and implement big data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark or Hive query language (HQL)
  • Develop streaming data pipelines using Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink on Kafka & Delta Lake
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption
  • Provide an effective solution design to meet business needs
  • Ensure regular communication with key stakeholders

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a collaborative team player, and a creative problem solver. They will have excellent problem analysis skills, a good understanding of the Azure Databricks platform, experience with at least one Cloud Infra provider (Azure/AWS), knowledge of NOSQL databases, particularly Cosmos DB and GraphQL, basic knowledge of scripting (shell/bash), experience of working with multiple data sources, including relational databases and NoSQL/document databases, and basic understanding of CI CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo, and Azure Dev-ops.
