Job Overview

We are seeking a Structural Designer I to join our team. This role involves designing and detailing structural elements using Revit software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and detail structural elements in 3D using Revit software.
  • Produce 2D production drawings in conformance to industry guidelines and standards.
  • Manage the BIM workflow, including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
  • Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
  • Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
  • Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines.
  • Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.
  • Create 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project use.
Requirements:
  • 0-3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software.
  • Strong understanding of how a building comes together.
  • Ability to think in 3-D.
  • Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer.
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a team.
