Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Tax Professional to lead our real estate fund tax services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business taxation, with a strong background in the real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth review and analysis of complex tax returns for real estate funds, holding entities, and property partnerships;
  • Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of state and local tax returns, composite and withholding filings for clients in the real estate industry;
  • Manage client, internal, and statutory deadlines;
  • Lead mentorship and coaching programs for junior staff members;
  • Develop and implement tax strategies for corporate and partnership clients;
  • Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in business taxation with a Big 4 or large national accounting firm in the real estate industry;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting;
  • CPA or EA certification mandatory;
  • Prior tax compliance and consulting experience serving real estate clients;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance;
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740 guidelines;
  • International tax experience a plus.
