Site Reliability Engineer - System Performance

As a Site Reliability Engineer in our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of our production systems. Your expertise will be essential in designing, developing, and implementing reliable and efficient system architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure service reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, automate routine tasks, and enhance system maintenance and monitoring.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, project managers, team leads, security, and QA teams to ensure smooth operation of systems.

Requirements:

  • 8-14 years of experience in SRE, handling high traffic production systems independently, troubleshooting (middleware, infra), automation, regular operation, etc.
  • Implement Site Reliability Engineering principles regarding performance, reliability, monitoring, alerting in Production environment.
  • Experience in managing large-scale services, design and construction of public cloud (e.g., GCP, Azure), preferably GCP.
  • Strong knowledge in LINUX based system operation, extensive skills in Linux commands, Unix/Linux/Shell/Python scripting, CI/CD/CT pipeline using tools like Jenkins/Bamboo and VCS such as GIT/SVN.
  • Hands-on experience in automation/configuration management, e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, developing and operating one or more of following systems: Kubernetes, Nginx, ELK stack, Hadoop, etc.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend best practices based on industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise on complex automation and functional issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in system administration, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, and Go.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
