Climate Investment Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Climatetech Investor to join our team in identifying potential investment opportunities through research and preliminary outreach.

This entry-level position is ideal for candidates early in their careers who are passionate about climate solutions, venture capital, and sustainable innovation. It offers the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable innovation and make a positive impact on the environment.

Responsibilities
  • Investment Research and Sourcing Support: Assist in identifying potential investment opportunities through thorough research and preliminary outreach efforts.
  • Due Diligence Assistance: Support the team in financial analysis, market validation, and data collection for potential deals, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Investment Process Support: Help prepare comprehensive investment memos, presentations, and supporting documentation, highlighting key investment theses and trends in climatetech and sustainability.
  • Portfolio Support: Assist in tracking performance and impact metrics, conducting basic analyses for portfolio companies, and providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct sectoral research to inform investment strategies and track trends in climatetech and sustainability, staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Coordinate our presence at relevant events, build databases of ecosystem players, and foster connections that drive business growth.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related fields from a premier institution, with a strong academic record.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or startup roles, preferably with a focus on climate-related activities.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills specific to early-stage investments, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
  • A passion for climatetech and sustainability, with a desire to contribute to making a positive environmental impact.
