Website Tester Position

Location: Hyderabad

We are seeking a meticulous Website Tester to perform an in-depth evaluation of websites from start to finish. You will act as a real customer, following a checklist and recording your findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit assigned websites and understand their purpose.
  • Follow a step-by-step checklist and record your findings.
  • Test key user flows (like browsing products, adding to cart, and checking out).
  • Identify and report issues like broken links, confusing content, or accessibility problems.
  • Verify payment methods (credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple/Google Pay) and complete test transactions.
  • Confirm post-purchase details like order confirmation pages and email receipts.
  • Document your findings with screenshots or screen recordings.
  • Prioritize issues based on severity and suggest quick fixes.
  • Communicate progress updates and report any blockers.
  • Handle login details and test data securely.

Tools and Software:

  • Web browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge (on desktop and mobile).
  • Screen capture tools: Loom, CleanShot, or similar.
  • Task tracking: Jira, Asana, Trello.
  • Docs: Google Docs/Sheets, Notion.
  • Security tools: Password manager, VPN (if needed).

Success Metrics:

  • You complete all checklist items and test scenarios.
  • Your reports are clear, detailed, and easy to understand.
  • You verify payment methods accurately and complete test purchases.
  • You deliver results on time and communicate proactively.
