Senior Java Developer

About the Role:

This position is an on-site opportunity to work in our office, five days a week. As a senior developer, you will be part of a dynamic and friendly development team situated in a prestigious location.

The ideal candidate will make significant contributions to the mobile payments industry by bringing engineering excellence in innovating new features and functions in customer-centric applications.

We are looking for a skilled developer who can analyse product requirements, design implementations, and participate in integration testing.

The successful candidate will be part of a very innovative, dedicated, and high-performance team, requiring them to match their level of excellence and thoroughness in delivering world-class banking applications.

This role requires strong communication skills, integrity, and respect in all interactions, as well as operating within our framework, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, secure backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Building and managing RESTful APIs and microservices for fintech and payment systems.
  • Leading the design of system architecture and database schema for complex data-driven applications.
  • Oversight of integration with third-party services, including sandbox/live environment testing and compliance validation.
  • Security planning and adherence to industry security standards (OWASP, PCI-DSS).
Requirements:
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Oracle DB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud-based deployments, ideally on Oracle Cloud or similar platforms.
  • Practical understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points:
  • Exposure to test automation tools.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's / master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Java programming.
