Project Director - Quantity Surveyor

Seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead our Quantity Surveying team across residential and commercial projects.

This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and commercial negotiations, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage the Quantity Surveying team across multiple projects, focusing on successful delivery of all assigned tasks.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for residential and commercial projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Oversee tendering processes, vendor negotiations, and contract management, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and ensure alignment with approved budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing necessary measures.
  • Promote quality, legal, and contractual standards throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with design, procurement, project management, and finance teams to achieve project goals.
  • Provide timely MIS reports and updates to leadership, showcasing key performance indicators (KPIs) and project progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying; Master's preferred, indicating a high level of academic achievement.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level position, demonstrating strong leadership skills and expertise in the field.
  • Excellent knowledge of cost estimation, contract management, and project financials, including proficiency in QS software/tools, MS Excel, and project management systems.
  • Proven experience in managing complex construction projects, with a focus on delivering projects within budget and timeframe.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
