Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer Snowflake Expert to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data systems on the Snowflake platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Snowflake data warehouses, including schema development, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Infrastructure Architecture: Architect scalable and secure infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Pulumi (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support our Snowflake platform.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Develop robust CI/CD pipelines and integrate with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps to ensure seamless deployment and testing of data engineering projects.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Airflow, or custom Python solutions to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake.
  • Data Ingestion: Develop efficient data ingestion processes from APIs, SaaS apps, and event streams into Snowflake.
  • Data Security: Ensure data security, lineage tracking, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in data engineering or platform operations.
  • Snowflake Experience: 3+ years of deep Snowflake hands-on experience (performance, security, cost).
  • Technical Skills: Strong skills in SQL, Python, Terraform/YAML, and Git workflows.
  • CI/CD Knowledge: Proven CI/CD and DevOps knowledge.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Bonus Points:

  • Certification: SnowPro Advanced (Architect or Data Engineer) certification.
  • dbt Experience: Experience with dbt, Fivetran, Informatica, or Matillion.
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with Kafka, Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Databricks.
