Job Description

A Database Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of a Snowflake data warehouse. This critical position involves managing day-to-day operations to maintain high availability and performance.

  • Manage the operation of the Snowflake data warehouse to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Optimize database structure for speed and efficiency, addressing bottlenecks or issues.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies, including role-based access control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with business requirements.
  • Monitor usage, costs, and performance metrics, making recommendations for optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience in database administration, emphasizing Snowflake expertise. They possess an in-depth understanding of Snowflake architecture, strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL, and RBAC expertise. Additionally, they have proven ability to manage large-scale data environments focusing on stability, performance, and security.
