The Lead – Livelihoods will spearhead our rural livelihoods strategy to create sustainable, scalable, and inclusive income opportunities across Punjab. The role involves designing, piloting, and scaling innovative livelihood models that address rural challenges while enhancing dignity of work, women's participation, and climate resilience.

  • Develop a comprehensive livelihoods strategy aligned with our vision and Punjab's socio-economic realities.
  • Identify and design sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities (e.g., agri-allied enterprises, skill development, women-led micro-enterprises, green economy initiatives).
  • Build models that can scale across Punjab and ensure long-term community ownership.
  • Lead end-to-end program design and planning.
  • Ensure integration of technology, digital literacy, and market linkages in livelihood programs.
  • Prepare program resources and monitoring frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Management, Social Work, Agriculture, or related fields, along with 10-15 years of progressive experience in livelihoods, rural development, or community enterprise building.

A strong understanding of social enterprises, women's economic empowerment, agriculture, and allied sectors is essential. Fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi is also preferred.

The selected candidate will be responsible for influencing stakeholders at grassroots and policy levels, facilitating market linkages, supply chain connections, and access to credit for rural entrepreneurs.
