Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Optics Specialist to lead the design and development of high-resolution Scanning Electron Microscopes.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the architecture and culture of a cutting-edge technology ecosystem, where optics, electronics, mechanics, and software converge.

Your Mission

Owning the electron-optical column end-to-end, you will ensure stable imaging with clean contrast across various applications. Your designs should be reliable today and adaptable for future upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing the column's optical architecture for high-resolution performance.
  • Transforming optics principles into practical calibration routines and alignment tools that can be replicated outside the lab.
  • Collaborating with Electronics and Software teams to ensure deterministic beam control and user-friendly imaging interfaces.
  • Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive calibration playbook - resolution, magnification, distortion - and training others on its use.
Requirements
  • Deep expertise in electron optics, including alignment, vacuum systems, and laboratory metrology.
  • Comfortable working between modeling software, hands-on bench work, and technical documentation.
  • A clear communicator able to distill complex optics concepts into simple, teachable procedures.
