The role of a Program Manager is to oversee the daily operations of our aquaculture program, focusing on water quality and healthy stocking densities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management:
    • People Management: Supervise 3+ team members in managing field programs.
    • Project Management: Oversee the implementation of protocols and experiments.
    • Data Review: Ensure timely and accurate data entry by team members.
    • Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Farmer Engagement:
    • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with farmers and stakeholders.
    • Farm Information Maintenance: Collect and update farm data at regular intervals.
    • Field Presence: Spend most time in the field engaging with staff, farmers, and other stakeholders.
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance:
    • Ground-Truthing: Provide input during strategic meetings with leadership.
    • Expansion: Lead the process of enrolling new farms in the aquaculture program.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Nationality: Eligible to work in India.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors.
  • Language: Fluent in Telugu and English (oral and written).
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required. Extensive field work expected in surrounding villages.
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads.
