Job Title: Department Leader

The Department Leader for Mechanical Engineering will be responsible for providing academic leadership, managing departmental operations, fostering faculty development, ensuring quality teaching and research, and building strong industry linkages.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic Leadership

- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with industry trends and regulatory requirements.


  • Department Management

- Manage the department's resources, infrastructure, and budget to ensure optimal performance.


  • Faculty Development

- Recruit, mentor, and support faculty members to enhance teaching quality and research output.


  • Student Engagement

- Foster students' academic, career, and entrepreneurial pursuits through guidance and support.


  • Industry Partnerships

- Establish and strengthen collaborations with corporate organizations, industry associations, and alumni networks.


  • Quality Assurance

- Oversee departmental efforts for accreditation, ranking, and quality audits.


Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Ph.D. in Mechanical or a related discipline (preferred); ME/M.Tech from a recognized institution is mandatory.


- Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in academia.


- Proven track record in academic administration, curriculum development, and research publications.
