Logistics Business Development Expert

You will be part of a Contract Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise and skills to the delivery of business growth. Our goal is to develop existing or new Contract Logistics distribution businesses by coordinating all business development actions and triggering opportunities for larger accounts at a country or cluster level.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will do this by working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with our current commercial policy while focusing on the following key objectives:
  1. To develop and manage a sizeable pipeline of opportunities, actively driving each opportunity through the entire Customer Engagement Cycle.
  2. To lead commercial negotiations and create high-quality business proposals.
  3. To actively develop and maintain customer contacts along with a network of prospects.
  4. To actively network and link with other colleagues (subject matter experts, vertical specialists, account managers) at every level of the organization, from global to regional to country.
  5. To highlight achievements in the business development space using a variety of dynamic tools.
  6. To capture and manage business and market intelligence, ensuring the communication of the same to key stakeholders.
  7. To drive and roll out yearly business development plans.
Key Qualifications and Skills
  • A post-graduate degree from a recognized university in sales and marketing or supply chain management.
  • Approximately 15 years of working experience in business development for Contract Logistics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative mindset - sense of urgency and proactive communication.
  • Experience handling key accounts customers would be an added advantage.
