Senior Data Engineer

At Tredence, we're committed to empowering our clients with actionable insights. To achieve this goal, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer who can help design and implement cutting-edge data warehouse solutions.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing forward-thinking data engineering and analytics solutions using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving technical discussions with client architects and team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing innovative data engineering and analytics solutions
  • Collaborating with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements
  • Triage issues to find gaps in existing pipelines and fix the issues
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop data models to fulfill them
  • Orchestrate data pipelines in the scheduler via Airflow
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of IT experience and 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse/ETL projects
Key Skills:
  • Expertise in Snowflake security, Snowflake SQL, and designing/implementing other Snowflake objects
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Snowsight, and Snowflake connectors
  • Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake dimensional modeling
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management principles
  • Good understanding of Databricks Data & AI platform and Databricks Delta Lake Architecture
  • Hands-on experience in SQL and Spark (PySpark)
  • Experience in building ETL/data warehouse transformation processes
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data including imaging and geospatial data
  • Experience working in a Dev/Ops environment with tools like Terraform, CircleCI, GIT
  • Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and Query Optimization
