Key Role: Data Lead

The successful candidate will drive the full lifecycle of data engineering solutions, from strategic design to hands-on implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Implement data solutions on various cloud platforms.
  • Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve data infrastructure and practices.
  • Create detailed documentation of architecture, flows, and processes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in data architecture and cloud computing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience with 3+ years of experience in data architecture or similar role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data solutions on at least one major cloud platform.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native data services such as AWS: Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, EMR; Azure: Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks; GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc.
  • Experience with big data technologies and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • DevOps practices and tools.
  • Data governance tools and practices.
  • Certification in one or more cloud platforms.
