Medical Communications Specialist

Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your scientific knowledge and writing skills in a unique role that contributes to the development of medical communications initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in scientific writing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt their writing style to different materials and target audiences.

  • Develop high-quality scientific, medical, and educational materials for clients across various therapeutic areas.
  • Build trusting relationships with international pharmaceutical clients, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver results independently and effectively communicate with colleagues across different time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Develop client-ready scientific, medical, and educational materials according to client needs.

• Liaise and build professional relationships with clients, authors, reviewers, and key opinion leaders.

• Attend workshops, seminars, and trainings to enhance skills and contribute to organizational objectives.

• Collaborate with senior team members and apply scientific and creative knowledge to develop effective medical communications initiatives.

• Ensure all materials follow client requirements, SOPs, style guides, and CACTUS' internal SOPs.

• Perform as a document specialist, providing intellectual input across document types, and contribute to making cutting-edge research accessible to specific audiences.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields of scientific writing.

• PhD/MD (Pharmacology) or equivalent qualification with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication.

• Experience working on publications and excellent language skills.

• Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences.

• Basic knowledge of biostatistics and literature reviewing capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills and very good working knowledge of MS Office.
