Job Title: Spatial Data Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Spatial Data Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to support informed decision-making. Having expertise in AI/ML is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management: Search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources. Require knowledge of image analysis techniques like band combinations, pixel depth, and image strip artifacts removal.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data
  • ETL operations: Perform ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server. Collaborate with vendors to deploy solutions based on business requirements.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and external partners, to comprehend data requirements.
  • Support trade shows and industry events as required.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Image analysis: Familiarity with Image processing techniques.
  • Knowledgeable with various ESRI products - ArcGIS Enterprise, Image Analyst Extension, Data Reviewer Extension.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to peers and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge on imagery-based data creation on Esri platform.
  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
