Employment Law Opportunities:

A leading law firm seeks a Senior Associate to join their high-profile Employment Law practice.

This role involves leading complex employment law matters, including compliance, advisory work, investigations and contentious issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert employment law advice on matters such as employment contracts, HR policies, compensation structures and termination processes.
  • Manage industrial disputes, disciplinary proceedings and employee misconduct cases.
  • Conduct labour law audits and due diligence for M&A transactions.
  • Structuring workforce changes, transfers and retrenchment strategies.
  • Represent clients in labour courts and other forums as necessary.
  • Draft and negotiate employment-related documentation and settlement agreements.
  • Stay up-to-date with Indian employment law developments and contribute to knowledge management initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including litigation, corporate and compliance teams.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates in the practice.

Candidate Requirements:

  • LL.B. from a reputable Indian law school.
  • 7–12 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a top-tier law firm or leading in-house legal department.
  • Strong command of Indian labour laws, industrial regulations and case law developments.
  • Excellent legal drafting, research and analytical skills.
  • Experience in handling sensitive investigations and employment litigation preferred.
  • Business-oriented mindset with excellent client-handling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and under deadlines.
  • Collaborative working style.
