Corporate Counsel Position

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team.

  • This is a key role within our Legal Department, where you will work closely with our lawyers to provide legal and compliance solutions to the business.

The ideal candidate will have 8-14 years of experience in a legal and compliance role, with a strong understanding of corporate compliance programs. You will be responsible for monitoring risk and compliance issues, providing guidance on regulatory compliance, and advising on data protection and privacy legislations.

Your duties will include:

  • Monitoring risk and compliance issues and implementing risk mitigation/remediation solutions.
  • Providing guidance and assistance in reviewing/drafting policies, guidance notes, SOPs pertaining to regulatory compliance.
  • Advising/working on issues pertaining to compliance with data protection and privacy legislations, including incident management and record retention management.
  • Supporting cyber security compliance and risk management, including advising on and reviewing disclosure requirements to regulators.
  • Advising on immigration laws in EU, APAC, and MEA, including review of policy/guidance documents relating to business travel and work visa regulations.

You will need:

  • A LLB/LLM degree along with relevant experience as a compliance counsel.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, including those relating to Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility.
  • Independent project management skills, including interaction with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage/support on review and audit exercises in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters.
