Computer Science & Robotics Teacher

Wellington College International Pune (WCIP) is looking for an inspirational and experienced candidate to teach Computing & Robotics in the Senior School, with initial classes covering years 7-9 (in the UK system). A willingness to teach Computing to some Juniors' classes will also be advantageous.

We are seeking practitioners who understand collaboration and the importance of meaningful relationships as a means to strive for excellence in both their own professional development and first-class provision for all our children. Successful candidates will have the energy, experience, resilience, and passion to help realize their aspirations.

The role requires designing and delivering computer science lessons, developing curriculum, planning lessons, and ensuring students gain a robust understanding of computer science concepts. Day-to-day tasks include teaching various levels of computer science and mathematics, assessing student progress, and contributing to the school's academic and co-curricular programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and delivering engaging computer science lessons
  • Developing and implementing curriculum that meets school standards
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Contributing to the school's academic and co-curricular programs

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Computer Science and Computer Science Education
  • Experience in Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Education, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
  • Experience teaching in an international school required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees in Computer Science or related fields
  • Experience teaching computer science in an international school environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
