Quality Assurance Tester Role

We are seeking a diligent Junior Quality Assurance Specialist to assess software quality through meticulous manual and automated testing. This role involves identifying and reporting bugs and glitches. In this position, having a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for quality is essential. If you are proficient in executing test cases, have UI testing experience, and basic knowledge of automation frameworks, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure our products, applications, and systems function seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with software development teams to guarantee proper testing of web and mobile applications (both functional and UI/UX testing).
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of web application architecture and extensive experience in testing web applications.
  • Conduct device testing in multiple browsers and various devices (make, model, operating system, screen size, etc.).
  • Perform an extensive UI testing.
  • Identify and track software defects and inconsistencies and provide detailed test documentation.
  • Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process.
  • Isolate and report defects, verify fixes, and conduct regression testing.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-4 years of experience as a QA Tester, Software Tester, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding in Manual Testing.
  • UI testing experience is mandatory.
  • Basic experience in Playwright with TypeScript (preferred) or any other automation framework is a plus.
  • Proficient in using browser plugins/developer tools for web application testing (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SCSS).
  • Familiarity with project tracking tool - JIRA is mandatory.
  • Experience in confluence is a plus.
  • Experience with Figma is preferred.
  • Experience with Postman is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, resourceful, and a strong team player with good time-management skills.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated annual salary range for this role is between $60,000-$90,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
