Finance Associate Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end accounting and processes, including P2P, R2R, and O2C for the respective business units. They must ensure accurate and timely monthly financial close completion, while complying with GAAP (Ind-AS) and company accounting policies.

Key responsibilities include delivering accurate books of accounts - P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, as well as ensuring financial accounts are properly supported and reconciled. Additionally, they will lead financial close review with finance leadership, including month-end review, finalization of P&L accounts, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex financial systems, possess excellent analytical skills, and be able to identify and address key trends, risks, and opportunities to drive strategic decision-making.

Accounting and Reporting:

  1. End-to-end accounting and process management (P2P, R2R, O2C)
  2. Accurate and timely monthly financial close completion
  3. Compliance with GAAP (Ind-AS) and company accounting policies
  4. Delivering accurate books of accounts - P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  5. Ensuring financial accounts are properly supported and reconciled
  6. Leading financial close review with finance leadership

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  1. Developing and managing financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability
  2. Providing timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of results
  3. Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities
  4. Acting as a single source of truth for numbers - key financial metrics and performance drivers

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  1. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives
  2. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and vendors

Other Activities/Initiatives:

  1. Knowledge of nodal account, payment gateway reconciliations, e-commerce transactions is preferable

Skills, Qualifications & Personality:

  • Self-driven, results-oriented individual with impeccable integrity
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and reporting software
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High-energy level with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Start-up experience and scaling up a start-up through series-A, series-B funding efforts preferred
