Storage Engineer Role

The purpose of this role is to provide advanced technical support for data storage systems in a high-pressure banking environment.

  • Conduct daily system checks, monitoring and routine maintenance tasks as outlined in standard operating procedures;
  • Acknowledge and classify alerts; document and update incident reports using designated software platforms;
  • Execute backup and restore operations, as well as routine jobs under close supervision;
  • Elevate issues to senior technical teams with accurate diagnostic information, logs and metrics;
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills to maintain readiness and resilience;
  • Deliver clear documentation, evidence-based troubleshooting and stakeholder communication.

Preferred qualifications include certifications in Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage technologies, Brocade/Cisco SAN networking and AWS S3/Object Storage fundamentals.
