Product Security Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Security Specialist to play a crucial role in embedding security into our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will own end-to-end Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) remediation across our lending product suite.

Job Overview

  • Owning the Secure SDLC for microservices, Node/TypeScript backends, Angular UIs, and Android/Flutter apps—policy, standards, and release gates.
  • Building and running CI/CD security controls: SAST, SCA/SBOM, secrets & IaC checks, container/image scanning; automating DAST/IAST in pipelines; enforcing block-on-fail where needed.
  • Driving VAPT end-to-end: scoping with internal/third-party testers, triaging findings, setting SLAs, tracking remediation to closure; verifying fixes and preventing regressions.
  • Threat modeling & reviewing designs/code for authN/Z, crypto, session management, API security, data protection/PII, and high-risk modules (payments, onboarding, documents).
  • Cloud & platform security (AWS): establishing baselines for EC2/ALB, RDS/KMS, S3 policies, network segmentation, mTLS/JWT service auth, Vault-backed secrets, and key rotation.
  • Observability & governance: wiring security logs to SIEM, defining AppSec KPIs (MTTR, SLA adherence, gate coverage), and reporting risk posture to engineering leadership.
  • Upskilling teams: running secure coding workshops, building a ‘security champions’ program, creating playbooks/runbooks for common vulns and abuse cases.
