Job Role Overview

We seek a skilled Public Relations Specialist to develop and execute effective communication strategies that promote our organization's goals and values.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • To design, implement, and evaluate public information campaigns that enhance agency reputation and public understanding.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, preparing press releases, responding to public and press questions, and monitoring media coverage of agency activities.
  • Representing the organization at various forums, policy meetings, civic events, and community gatherings.
  • Advising management on policy formulation, assessing potential public reactions to proposed actions, and assisting in articulating policy statements.
  • Creating engaging content for internal and external stakeholders, including newsletters, brochures, presentations, social media materials, and reports.
  • Conducting research, analyzing public opinion trends, and preparing impact assessments and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Organizing outreach activities, educational initiatives, facility tours, public events, and emergency preparedness communications.
  • Monitoring public and media perceptions, recommending improvements for communication effectiveness, and reporting findings to management.

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication for public, media, and internal audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and advocacy skills to drive organizational interests in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present information in ways that foster understanding and build support for agency policies.
  • Project management and event coordination abilities for public outreach and educational programming.
Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for this role.
