Transforming Spaces with Custom Rug Design
Position Overview:We're seeking an exceptional Rug Designer to join our high-end rug atelier. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for design innovation, a strong understanding of custom projects, and the ability to interpret and execute bespoke client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop original rug designs that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with clients, interior designers, and architects to understand and translate design requirements.
- Produce detailed design specifications, including color palettes, patterns, and textures.
- Work effectively with manufacturers to ensure accurate interpretation of designs, weaving techniques, and material selection.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and rug-making processes.
- Maintain a robust portfolio of custom and bespoke projects.
- Proven experience in custom rug design (portfolio required).
- Strong understanding of weaving techniques, rug materials, and finishing processes.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD) and/or hand sketching.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with international rug manufacturers is a plus.
