We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as a strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments, including security, health, and performance.
The key responsibilities include:
- Continuous engagement with clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.
- New customer transition, administration, and maintenance plans.
- Ensuring continuous communications in a consultative approach.
- Administering and optimizing Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand).
- Managing Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
- Leading and supporting end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
- Designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
- Monitoring and tuning performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
- Automating database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
- Collaborating with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
- Ensuring database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments.
- Participating in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews.
