Job Description

A highly skilled Culinary Professional prepares, cooks and bakes food in designated areas of the kitchen for Guests and Team Members by following instructions and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food efficiently, economically and hygienically as per standard recipes and procedures.
  • Support the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen and prompt service at all times.
  • Work seamlessly with recipes, standards and plating guides.
  • Maintain HACCP aspects within hotel operations.
  • Use equipment, tools and machines appropriately.
  • Participate in off-site events when tasked.
  • Complete tasks outside of the kitchen when requested.
  • Assist in inventory taking.
  • Stay knowledgeable of hotel occupancy, events, forecasts and achievements.
  • Respond to every Guest feedback effectively.
  • Learn and adapt to changes.
  • Always maintain a professional and positive attitude towards Team Members and Supervisors.
  • Adhere to established hotel rules and Team Member Handbook.
  • Attend and actively participate in all training sessions.
  • Ensure quality of food meets required standards and make necessary adjustments.
  • Understand and promote good teamwork to achieve missions, goals and departmental standards.
  • Perform duties in an efficient and productive manner.
