Service Supervisor / Field Technician Job Description

Job Title: Service Supervisor / Field Technician

Location: India

We are seeking a skilled professional to strengthen our service network at customer sites in India. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of products across customer locations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service skills with frequent travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair products at customer locations.
  • Diagnose issues efficiently and resolve warranty complaints.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers.
  • Coordinate with internal technical and service teams for escalations and quick resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, visits, and complaint status.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
  • Build strong and lasting customer relationships, especially with Indian Railways and key stakeholders.
  • Share field feedback and insights with internal teams to improve product performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repair expertise in industrial or railway equipment.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and across India.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to service excellence.
  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering, or railway industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of service documentation and complaint tracking will be an advantage.
