Cloud Security Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled cloud security specialist with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, coupled with expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services.

  • Develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution using a broad range of AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, AWS CLI, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, AWS Config, Kinesis, Route 53, Dynamo DB, and SNS).
  • Implement identity and access management (IAM) controls to manage user and system access securely.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and developers to create security solutions for cloud environments by designing security controls and ensuring they are integrated into cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and deliver scalable and highly available cloud solutions for applications migrating to the cloud.
  2. Work with data-based application migration teams to strategically and securely move data from on-premises data centers to cloud storage within an isolated environment.
  3. Remediate findings from cybersecurity tools used for cloud-native application security and implement resource/cloud services tagging strategies by enforcing compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
