Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. As a key member of our senior management, you will play a crucial role in driving our financial strategy and ensuring the company's long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the assessment and evaluation of our financial performance, aligning it with our operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to our founder and senior management, including advice on planning, budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters.
  • Act as the liaison between our management and the board of directors, effectively communicating critical financial information and presenting at select meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of our company's strategic objectives and overall management, ensuring alignment with our vision.
  • Represent us externally in banking, lease, and vendor negotiations, including supply chain management.
  • Enhance and implement financial systems, processes, tools, and control systems to increase departmental efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead the month-end close process, reviewing procedures and eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Communicate and discuss financial findings with our founder, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of audits and tax returns.
  • Review month-end closing activities, including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
  • Manage inventory control and supply chain.
  • Analyze and manage risk, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks.
  • Maintain open lines of communication, keeping our founder informed of critical issues.

Team Development/Leadership:

  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance and account team.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, valuing learning and quality.
  • Ensure team members receive timely training and development.
  • Mentor and develop team members using a supportive and collaborative approach.

Requirements:

  • CA with minimum 8-10 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, 3 years in a senior management role.
  • Strong understanding of Company Laws, Income Tax, GST, and Accounting Standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate team.
  • Significant experience working with external and internal auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical and strategic thinker.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
