- Industrial Relations Manager
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Industrial Relations Manager where you will be responsible for maintaining a harmonious and productive work environment. As an integral part of our team, you will handle disciplinary cases ensuring adherence to the principles of natural justice.
You will ensure timely disciplinary actions and overall employee discipline while liaising with government and local authorities to maintain smooth operations and industrial peace. Your role will also involve managing labour unrest situations, participating in HR networks and forums, and engaging with lawyers and consultants for legal and IR matters.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IR strategies for a harmonious and productive work environment.
- Handle disciplinary cases ensuring adherence to the Principles of Natural Justice.
- Ensure timely disciplinary actions and overall employee discipline.
- Liaise with government and local authorities (Labour Commissioner, Factory Inspector, Apprentice Advisor, etc.) to maintain smooth operations and industrial peace.
- Manage labour unrest situations including gheraos, strikes, lockouts, and industrial disputes.
- Participate in HR networks and forums to maintain healthy relations with neighboring industries.
- Engage with lawyers, consultants, police, and administrative bodies for legal and IR matters.
- Monitor and analyze industrial health and grievance mechanisms; take proactive actions.
- Negotiate and manage wage and benefits settlements with employee unions.
- Conduct manpower analysis through skill gap identification.
- Interact with employees' unions for settlements and grievance redressal.
- Manage contract labour, time office functions, and security administration.
- Oversee guest house management and canteen services at site.
- Manage transportation arrangements for staff.
- Handle insurance, registration, and maintenance of company-owned vehicles.
- Ensure communication arrangements and connectivity for staff.
- Organize employee functions, events, and celebrations.
- Maintain housekeeping, accommodation allotment, and overall office upkeep.
- Issue employee documents such as address proof, experience letters, and salary certificates.
- Manage issuance of disciplinary communications like show cause and warning letters.
- Maintain positive communication and relations with employees.
- Distribute food and gift coupons to eligible employees.
- Issue ID cards and vehicle passes.
- Update employee information in SAP for compliance and income tax.
- Register company establishments under various applicable labour laws.
- Represent the company in labour court cases.
- Finalize lease deeds and rent agreements.
- Manage land purchasing or leasing activities.
- Liaise with various departments (Police, RTO, Labour, Revenue, Electrical, PWD, PHED).
- Handle land acquisition, rehabilitation, and resettlement coordination with local authorities.
- Ensure statutory compliance under labour laws across all project sites.
- Conduct monthly contractor meetings to review compliance.
- Submit statutory returns and verify contractor bills for compliance.
- Certify and monitor timely wage distribution for contract workers.
- Ensure safety, welfare, PF, and compensation policy coverage for contract staff.
- Respond to labour authorities and manage form issuance and annual filings.
- Core user of SAP-HR in payroll and time management.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.],
