Job Description

The role of a Data Engineer is to design, develop and maintain large-scale data systems that provide valuable insights into our business. This involves collaborating with the data science team to create complex algorithms that uncover unique insights from our data.

As a Data Engineer, you will utilize agile software development processes to iterate on improvements to our back-end systems. You will model front-end and back-end data sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of user flows and enable powerful data analysis.

Key responsibilities include developing data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from various sources. Additionally, you will create models that make predictions and answer critical business questions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Bigdata and Google Cloud platforms.
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Bigdata toolset, including BigQuery, Airflow, and CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard visualization and analytics tools, such as Tableau and R.
  • Experience with Core Java, Linux, SQL, and scripting languages.
  • Proficiency in Python, Spark, and Hive.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on a dynamic research-oriented team with concurrent projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes.
