Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis.

Job Description:

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing scalable and robust ETL pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure that data models are optimized for high availability and performance.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
  • Proficient in building data pipelines and ETL workflows.
  • Hands-on with Azure Data Services.
  • Solid understanding of big data architecture and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and manage scalable and robust ETL pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark.
  2. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  3. Build and optimize data models, ensuring high availability and performance.
  4. Implement and manage data integration solutions across various sources and systems.
  5. Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  6. Perform data profiling and analysis to identify and resolve data-related issues.
  7. Optimize data workflows and jobs for cost and performance efficiency.
  8. Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
  9. Create and maintain documentation related to data engineering processes and workflows.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and performance bottlenecks in pipelines.
