Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler

A challenging role for a skilled Material Handler to work on Mechanical handling activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the Mechanical handling activities.
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on efficiency, profitability, or operations.
  • Willing to travel globally and carry out short-term assignments with other offices/client offices or with project site facilities as needed to support projects.

Required Skills:

  • Graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience, with average experience ranging from 10-15 years.
  • Experience in handling concepts of various equipment and packages in FPSO/Offshore facilities.
  • Problem-solving capabilities for handling related issues with various inter-disciplines.
  • Knowledge in various handling equipment and their capabilities.
  • Understanding and reviewing various package drawings and assessing handling aspects.
  • Preparing Mechanical handling study reports and presentations.
  • Participates in Model Review Sessions to present handling details and responsible to address all material handling-related queries.
  • Recommends improvements to ensure efficient and cost-effective handling procedures.
  • Hands-on knowledge in 3D review software like S3D, Aveva, and NAVIS Simulate.
  • Interfaces with stakeholders and 3D designers to implement handling requirements.
  • Highly proactive and involves everyday coordination to quickly understand and resolve issues.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience following packages - Mechanical handling equipment, Deck cranes, Static equipment, Rotating equipment, Package/skid items is required besides responsible for control of resources.
